Beatrice E. O'Connell

Pawtucket – Beatrice E. (Lamarre) O’Connell, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J.

O’Connell and the former wife of the late James L.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Beatrice (Smith) Lamarre, she resided in Pawtucket most of her life.

Beatrice authored two books and enjoyed painting in oils well into her eighties, a skilled she learned along with her mother.

She leaves two daughters, Carol A.

Paterson and her husband, William, of Seekonk, and Barbara L.

McAuley and her husband, William, of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Scott Paterson and Alissa Savignano and her husband, Daniel; five great-grandchildren, Kenzington Paterson, Sophia Liatsos, Eva Liatsos, Riley Paterson and Zoey Olmstead, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the grandmother of the late Laurie (McAuley) Liatsos and Michelle (McAuley) Olmstead and sister of the late James E.

Lamarre and Jeannette Filleau.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Services on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. in the Historic Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.

Interment will follow.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
