Pawtucket - Barbara J. (Diggett) Howard, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph M. Howard who passed in 2022. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Blanche (Chenail) Diggett.

Barbara worked for many years as a paper cutter at New England Paper Tube Company in Pawtucket until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and caring for her beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-one years.

Barbara leaves a daughter, Rebecca E. Howard of Pawtucket; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Bernard Diggett, Delores Crawley, Claire Dyson, Francis Diggett, Marilyn LaComte, Arline Diggett, Richard Diggett, and Norma McCaughey.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 2nd, at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts to the Center for Memory and Aging at Butler Hospital, 345 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, RI 02906 would be appreciated.
