Pawtucket – Barbara A. (Lamarre) Edwards, 73, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 after a brief illness in Foley, AL.
She was the wife of Richard “Doc” Edwards of Elberta, AL, for the past eleven years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Reid) Lamarre, Barbara resided most of her life in Rhode Island.
Teresa School, Pawtucket, and graduated from Tolman High School in 1962.
She worked for Big G Supermarkets, and then had an extended career at Pawtucket Savings and Trust Bank.
She loved all things Rhode Island, especially beaches, boating, Block Island, Slater Park, Wrights Farm, music and crafts.
Besides her husband, Barbara leaves her daughter, Lynn Thompson of Deltona, FL; step-daughter, Jessica Smith of Gulfport, MS; granddaughter, Alyssa (Joe) Killmeyer, of FL; two grandsons, Craig and Randall Curtis of NH; and a great-grandson, Koby Curtis.
She is also survived by four sisters Marilyn Clark and Debra Lamarre both of FL, Janice (Paul) Tetreault of Saunderstown, Diane Lamarre of Pawtucket, her brother, William (Janet) Lamarre of Pawtucket, and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by two infant daughters, Donna and Susan Thompson, and her late husband, Kenneth Turner.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Committal Services on Friday, June 22nd, at Noon at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, RI.
Flowers and calling hours are respectfully omitted.
A Mass of Remembrance will be held at St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to William W.
Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
