Barbara Borge

New Bedford – Barbara (Burt) Borge, 80, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 in her home. She was the beloved wife of Charles E. Borge, Sr. for twenty-five years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G., Sr., and Dolores E. (Breton) Burt. Barbara grew up in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, where she graduated high school and enjoyed her childhood. She worked as a seamstress at Joseph Abboud, Mfg., New Bedford, for many years prior to retiring in 2002. Barbara loved being outdoors in the garden, where she would tend to her tomato plants and beautiful flowers. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially at sea on cruises or staying local on their boat at Pope’s Island Marina, New Bedford. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by six children, John Gwozdz of Attleboro, MA, Arthur Gwozdz of New Bedford, MA, Christine Daniels of Pawtucket, Daniel Gwozdz and his wife, Kerry, of East Providence, Robert Ferreira of Central Falls and Jennifer Ferreira of Providence; two step-children,...
