Rumford – Audrey M. (Adams) Hill, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Hazel (White) Adams.
Audrey worked in furniture sales and retired from the former Alperts in Seekonk after many years.
She was the proprietor of former Phyllis’ Dress of Riverside, and worked in real estate prior to that.
An animal advocate, Audrey enjoyed supporting animal causes and caring for her own pets.
She was an avid traveler, having visited nearly fifty-five countries throughout the world.
Never at a loss for words, Audrey had a love for journalism.
In fact, she published 2 books: The Lithuanians, a story of love and betrayal, and The Preachers Wife.
She was recently working on her 3rd book, Kristin Nicole!
The books always included her interest and knowledge of WW II.
Audrey will be remembered for her kindness, empathy and willingness to help those in need.
She is survived by two daughters, Laurie Reddington and her husband, John, of Connecticut and Jann Casperson of Rumford; three grandchildren, Justin Reddington and his wife, Chelsea, Michael Reddington and his wife, Alex, and Kristin Reddington; three great-grandchildren, Colton, Emma and Hadley; two cousins, Michelle and Debbie; her beloved feline, Lana and many dear friends.
She was the sister of the late Michael Adams.
Interment in the family plot at Spring Vale Cemetery, Rumford, will be private.
Visitation and floral tributes are respectfully omitted.
