Seekonk – Audrey G. (Gilroy) Cunha, a retired educator, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 3, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Cunha. Born in New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Jennie E. Gilroy. Audrey began her teaching career in the Pawtucket School Department in 1968 at the Flora S. Curtis School. In 1984 she became the Principal of the Potter - Burns School, and in 1990 became Principal of the Agnes E. Little School until retiring in 1999. She enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Port St. Lucie, Florida, but most of all she was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Cole C. Calistra and his wife, Melissa of North Attleboro; a stepson, Joseph Cunha, Jr. of Pawtucket; two grandchildren, Abigail and Jill Calistra; a brother, David Gilroy of Hanover, MA; her mother-in-law, Virginia Cunha of Pawtucket and a niece, Jennifer Marchesiani. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m....
