Providence – Audrey Rose (Couture) Arceneaux, 79, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Born in Yscloskey, Louisiana, she was the youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie (Badeaux) Couture.
Audrey lived in New Orleans and Des Allemands, Louisiana, before spending the remainder of her life in Rhode Island.
Audrey worked for many years in the service industry supporting her family as a single mother, then dedicating her life to be involved with her Pawtucket family, Jessica, Tony, and grandson Jarrod.
Audrey was a devoted Christian and last attended the Assembly of God Church in Attleboro, Massachusetts before moving to Summit Commons Health Care Center.
Audrey enjoyed watching sports.
Her favorite sport was baseball and she was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan.
Being raised in Louisiana and lived many years of her life in Rhode Island, Audrey’s two favorite football teams were the New Orleans Saints and the New England Patriots.
She enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Her favorite animal was a turtle.
Audrey and her grandson Jarrod watched a lot of science fiction shows together.
While at Summit Commons Health Care Center, Audrey enjoyed game and movie nights.
Audrey leaves two daughters, Jessica Arceneaux, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and Jane Paradee, of New London, Minnesota; two sons, Eugene “Tony” Arceneaux, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and Russell (Tracey) Kieffer, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
At Audrey’s passing she had nine grandchildren, Jarrod Arceneaux, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Chelsea (Dean) Justice, of Springtown, Texas, Chase (Jackie) Kieffer of Mesa, Arizona, Bryce (fiancé Lexi) Kieffer, of Princeton, Texas, Shealyn Van Ginkel, Ashley Van Ginkel, Heather Ringheimer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Joshua Merry, of Gillette, Wyoming, and Sarah Skogland, of Little Rock, Iowa, and two extended grandchildren, Stephanie Carpenter and Scott Anderson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
From the grandchildren, Audrey had twelve great grandchildren.
Audrey is survived her sister, Dr.
Jaqueline Lewis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Facebook allowed Audrey to see most of her extended family across the United States.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Carrie (Badeaux) Couture, brothers Joseph Couture, Robert Couture, Douglas Couture, and sisters Leola Ruth Couture Sprunk Lindsey and Esther Gladys Assavedo.
Private funeral arrangements will be conducted by her children at later date.
The family is grateful for the staff at Summit Commons Health Care Center in Providence, Rhode Island, who took care of Audrey during her final years.
