Arthur C. Prescott

Pawtucket – Arthur C. Prescott, 89, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was the beloved husband of JoAnn C. (Hess) Prescott and the late Emelia (Horridge) Prescott. Arthur was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket, and son of the late Arthur D. and Emma L. (Wagstaff) Prescott.  He was preceded in death by his sisters Mildred and Ruth. Arthur attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and went on to a career as an elevator constructor with Otis Elevator Company and IUEC Local 4 Boston.  Arthur was also an instructor with the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP). In his personal life, Arthur was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Pawtucket, where he served for many years as a lay minister and volunteer. He was also a volunteer at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and for the Central Falls School Department, where he helped children learn to read.
