Armand R. "Smoothie" Desorcy

Pawtucket - Armand R. "Smoothie" Desorcy, 69, passed away at home on Saturday, January 15, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Doris C. (Samson) Desorcy for 47 years. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Arthur and Florida (Ayotte) Desorcy, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life. Armand was a member of the Laborers Union Local 271, and was employed by Cut-Rite Concrete Cutting Corporation for many years before retiring in 2003. He enjoyed being with his family, playing cards, bowling and spending time with his beloved wife at local casinos. Besides his loving wife he leaves five daughters, Kathleen Brittain, Carolyn Thompson, Brenda Pinto, Sharon Serpa, and Sandra Natale; two sons, Brian Desorcy and Dennis Desorcy and eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by six siblings, Roland Desorcy, Doris Jones, Teresa Desorcy, Sister Jeannette Desorcy, SSCH, Albert Desorcy and Pauline Delmonico. Armand was predeceased by six siblings.
