East Providence – Armand P.
Salera, 75, suddenly passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 after a series of long term health complications.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. (Tetreault) Salera for fifty-five loving years.
Born in Providence, Armand resided in Rumford most of his life.
He was the son of the late Armando and Serafina (Mazza) Salera.
Armand was the proprietor of several businesses over the past many years, among the most recent, Rumford Discount Oil.
He was an avid antique car enthusiast and was a longtime member of Bay State Street Machines Antique Car Club.
Armand enjoyed attending the weekly Saturday night car cruises at Crescent Park Carousel in Riverside.
Among his many hobbies, he enjoyed collecting wtaches, oddities and just about anything and everything one can imagine.
Armand also loved boating and fishing, visits to the area casinos, caring for his beloved dogs, and razzing his family and friends with his unique sense of humor and lovable sarcasm.
He also had the unique opportunity to have visited all forty-eight states in the continental U.S. while working as a long-haul trucker and always, “lived life looking through the windshield”.
Armand will be lovingly remembered by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, sister, grandchildren, spoiled pets Pebbles and Bam-Bam, extended family, many friends and all whose lives he has touched over the past seventy-five years.
Along with his beloved wife Cheryl, Armand leaves two sons, Paul A.
Salera and his wife, Sarah, of Rehoboth, MA, and Kevin E.
Salera and his wife, Heather, of Douglas, MA; five grandchildren, Jake, Taegan, Camryn, Kailey, and Gavin Salera; a sister, Barbara Ann Wilson and her loving fiance, Robert R.
Bushee Sr., of Port Charlotte, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8th at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the RISPCA, 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
