Antonio "Tony" S. Gomes

East Providence – Antonio “Tony” S.

Gomes, 82, of Rumford, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014.

He was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Langlois) Gomes for 56 years.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Antonio S. and Capitolina (Almeida) Gomes, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life before moving to Rumford in 2008.

Tony was a Korean War U.S.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Diane M.

Gaj and her husband, John; two grandchildren, Nicholas J.

Gaj all of Pawtucket; three sisters, Tillie Flynn and her husband, Raymond of Pawtucket, Aline Oddi and her husband, Al of Greenwich, CT and Nancy Ribeiro and her late husband, Vic of Bristol, CT; a sister-in-law, Dolores Gomes of New Smyrna Beach, FL and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Daniel Gomes.

His funeral with Military Honors will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

VISITATION will be Tuesday 5 – 7 p.m.
