Pawtucket – Antonio Laranjo, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cedros, Faial, Azores, he was a son of the late Artur D. and Angelina (Alvernaz) Laranjo.
Antonio worked for International Packaging before his retirement. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Cumberland. A talented mechanic, Antonio enjoyed working on his own cars and bikes. One of his greatest accomplishments was entirely rehabbing his Volkswagen Bug all by himself. Antonio was a wonderful and talented person who was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his beloved siblings, Manuel R. Laranjo and wife Olivia of Pawtucket, Maria Eduardina Andrade (late husband Jose) of Pawtucket, Maria da Conceicao Escobar and husband Jose Escobar of East Providence, and Mary Lou Laranjo of Pawtucket, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was the brother of the late Antonino D. Laranjo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.
VISITATION will be held prior to the Mass from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave. Pawtucket.
