Rehoboth – Anthony Christodulou, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
He was the beloved husband of Kalliope (Yialouri) Christodulou for forty-two years.
Born in Skyros, Greece, a son of the late Emmanuel and Anna (Bonatsou) Christodulou, he had resided in Pawtucket before moving to Rehoboth in 1985.
Tony was an officer in the United States Navy working directly for the Admiral of the Sixth Fleet and was a member of the American Legion.
He and his late brother, Imon, were the proprietors of the Carousel Restaurant, Pawtucket and Village Pizza, Central Falls.
Tony was an original contributing member and treasurer of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, where he continued to be a very active member and had also served as a chanter.
He was a giving, sincere, compassionate and good-hearted gentleman.
Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Artemis Christodulou; a son, Emmanuel Christodulou and his wife, Katia Aoude; three grandchildren, Anthony, Alexander and Marco Christodulou and two sisters, Athanasia Manta and Soula Geka.
He was the brother of the late Imon, George and Michael Christodulou.
VISITATION will be held at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket on Tuesday, September 17th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Services will be held in the Church on Wednesday, September 18th at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in Greece.
