Annie Nunes

Pawtucket – Annie (Haworth) Nunes, 100, passed away peacefully in the compassionate care of Mount Saint Rita Health Centre in Cumberland, on Friday, December 6, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Nunes. Born in Accrington, England, on May 10, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Gideon H. and Hannah (Whitehead) Haworth. Annie worked as a payroll clerk at Coats and Clark Thread Company for many years until her retirement and was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Rumford. Annie will be remembered as a loving and generous person who touched the lives of many friends and family members over the past 100 years. Annie leaves her dear friend and caregiver, Gertrude Connolly and her husband, Edward, of Pawtucket. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Freda Haworth in 2015.
