Anita E. Wims

Pawtucket – Anita E. (Kelly) Wims, 90, a loving wife and devoted mother, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 12, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis “Mickey” J. Wims. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Malachi E. and Loretta M. (Burns) Kelly, she resided in Pawtucket most of her life. Anita was a graduate of St. Joseph School, Pawtucket East High School and the Tabbutt-Hubbard School of Business. She was a secretary for the New England Telephone Company before leaving to raise her family. A devout catholic, she was a communicant of St. Teresa Church and an active member of St. Teresa’s Mother’s Club. Anita was a trained soprano, she especially enjoyed singing and playing the piano, she also enjoyed traveling. She leaves three loving children, David K. Wims and his wife, Jeannette of Ossipee, NH, Melissa Wims Risk and her husband, Barry of Pawtucket with whom she made her home and Peter F.
