Angelos Avramis

Providence – Angelos Avramis, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 23, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Eleftheria (Vazeos) Avramis. Born in Greece, he was a son of the late Estathios and Sotiria (Skoutas) Avramis. Angelos came to the United States in February of 1978. He was the founder and proprietor along with his wife, Eleftheria, of Olympic Pizza, Providence. Angelos had a “green thumb” and loved gardening. Besides his wife, he leaves twin daughters, Anna Avramis Hughes and her husband, John Hughes, of Mansfield, Massachusetts and Sotiria Avramis Kalos and her husband, George Kalos, of Stoneham, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Angelo Hughes, Gianna Hughes and Vasili Kalos and two brothers, Panagiotis Avramis and George Avramis both of Greece. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket.
