Andrew R. Wilbur

Pawtucket – Andrew R. Wilbur, 81, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Bernadette C. (McCrea) Wilbur for sixty years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Lloyd E. and Isabelle (Roy) Wilbur. Andy was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He was a programmer for IBM for over twenty-five years until retiring in 1993, and was a 3rd Degree member of St. Teresa Council Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Joan R. Pearson of Pawtucket, Steven A. Wilbur and his wife, BrendaLee, Walter H. Wilbur and his wife, Susan all of Cumberland and Sheila R. Scott and her husband, Michael of Florida; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave. Interment will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
