Andrew Kacharo

Pawtucket – Andrew Kacharo, 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie F. (Bolotte) Kacharo. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late James and Paraskeve (Bacopoulos) Kacharo. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, where he received many medals. Andy was a police officer in the City of Pawtucket for twenty years until retiring, he then became a limousine driver for several years. He was a member of the Pawtucket Police Association, American Legion Post 0091 and the Leon Mathieu Senior Center. Andy was considered one of the best ballroom dancers in New England. He leaves a son, Jeffrey A. Kacharo and a granddaughter, Angelina, both of Pawtucket. He was the brother of the late Denno Kacharo, William Kacharo, Georgia Lehourites, Julia Pappas and Mary Kacharo.
