Andrew M. Duehring

Pawtucket - Andrew M. Duehring, 88, died on Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was the beloved husband of both the late Helene A. (Moreau) Duehring, and Sharyn (Hosey) Duehring. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the eldest child of Frank and Anastasia (Healy) Duehring. Andrew moved to Rhode Island in 1963 and settled in Pawtucket where he devoted his life to his family. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Providence College and worked as a picture editor for the Providence Journal for over thirty years prior to retiring. He was a longtime member of the Rumford Lions Club and sang for The Chorus of East Providence as a baritone. A well-versed man, Andrew immersed himself in Science, the Arts and music, especially Classical and Jazz. He was a gifted chess player who enjoyed reading, studying astronomy, and playing guitar.
