Pawtucket – Ana Elvia Callejas, 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Hector de Jesus Gomez. Born in Medellin, Colombia, she was the daughter of the late Jesus and Rosana Callejas Hidalgo.

Ana was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was self-employed as a seamstress. In her free time, she was very active in Progreso Latino and worked to help the Latino community in Rhode Island. Ana was also a parishioner of Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls.

She leaves behind her beloved children, Flor Gomez, Hector Alonso Gomez, and Lucia Gomez, grandchildren, Jaqueline, Jennifer, Daniel, Santiago, Carolina, Francisco Javier, Sara, and José Ignacio, and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Eliana.

Ana was the mother of the late Jesús Ernesto Gómez and was predeceased by her siblings, Graciela Callejas, Alfonso Callejas, and Elías Callejas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4:00PM-6:00PM at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 69 Quincy Ave., Pawtucket.

Pawtucket, Rhode Island – Ana Elvia Callejas, de 84 años, falleció el miércoles 2 de septiembre de 2026 en su hogar, rodeada del amor de su familia. Fue la esposa del fallecido Héctor de Jesús Gómez. Nació en Medellín, Colombia, y fue hija de los fallecidos Jesús Callejas Hidalgo y Rosana Callejas Hidalgo.

Ana fue una esposa, madre y abuela devota. Trabajó de manera independiente como costurera y, en su tiempo libre, participó activamente en Progreso Latino, dedicando sus esfuerzos a apoyar a la comunidad latina de Rhode Island. También fue feligresa de la Parroquia Espíritu Santo (Holy Spirit Parish) en Central Falls.

Deja con profundo amor a sus hijos, Flor Gómez, Héctor Alonso Gómez y Lucía Gómez; a sus nietos, Jaqueline, Jennifer, Daniel, Santiago, Carolina, Francisco Javier, Sara y José Ignacio; y a sus bisnietos, Jaden y Eliana.

Ana era la madre del ya fallecido Jesús Ernesto Gómez y por sus hermanos ya fallecidos, Graciela Callejas, Alfonso Callejas, Elías Callejas.

Los familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a rendirle homenaje durante las horas de visita, que se llevarán a cabo el jueves 10 de septiembre de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m., en la Funeraria William W. Tripp, ubicada en 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.

La Santa Misa de Exequias Cristianas se celebrará el viernes 11 de septiembre de 2026 a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia St. John the Baptist, ubicada en 69 Quincy Avenue, Pawtucket.
