Aline A. Fortin

Pawtucket – Aline A. (Ratté) Fortin, 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 with her family by her side at Miriam Hospital, Providence.

She was the beloved wife of Rene J.

Fortin for nearly sixty-five years.

Born in Baie-des-Sables, QC, she was one of eighteen siblings, and the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Couillard) Ratté.

Aline immigrated to the U.S. when she was seventeen years old and settled in Pawtucket.

She was the proprietor of the former Aline’s Beauty Shoppe, Pawtucket, for over thirty years.

After retiring, she and her husband would spend the winter months in Florida with her sisters and the summers in Canada with family and friends.

Aline was a great card player, golfer and enjoyed a game of Bingo.

Besides her beloved and devoted husband, she is survived by two loving daughters, Susan Fortin of Attleboro and Jacqueline Desorcy and her husband, Ronald, also of Attleboro; two loving granddaughters, Nicole Nunes of Attleboro and Stephanie Brown of Indiana; five loving great-granddaughters, Brynlee, Camryn and Mackenna Nunes and Emmeline and Ella Brown; two brothers, Clément and Fernand Ratté; three sisters, Denise (Ratté) Abell, Andrée (Ratté) Ruel and Louisette (Ratté) Frappier; three granddogs Bella, River and Rye and many loved nieces, nephews and wonderful friends near and afar.

She was the sister of the late Jeanne (Ratté) Gravel, Bertha Courcy, Lionel Ratté, Roland Ratté, Lucien Ratté, Béatrice (Ratté) Follis, Yvette (Ratté) Rattie, Benoit Ratté, Ulric Ratté, Sylvain Ratté, Marielle Ratté and Jean-Hugues Ratté.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Consolation Church, followed by private interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.

Floral tributes and visitation are respectfully omitted.
