Pawtucket - Alice C. (Harman) Courtney, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
She was the beloved wife of the late John J.
Born in Petersburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Betty (Bland) Harman.
Alice relocated to Rhode Island in the 1940’s and settled in Providence prior to making her home in Pawtucket.
She was a parishioner at St.
Joseph Church, and later at St.
Teresa Church, where she was a member of the St.
Alice enjoyed volunteering at Jeanne Jugan Residence, Pawtucket, and found great comfort in helping others.
She worked as a teller at the former Allied Signal Credit Union, Rumford, for thirteen years prior to retiring in 1989.
She was previously employed by Fram, Corp. for twenty-six years.
Alice enjoyed listening to country music, tending to her home and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three grandsons, Christopher Courtney, Andrew Westgate and John Courtney, Jr. and three great-grandsons, Jackson, Julian and Olly.
She was the mother of the late John T.
Courtney, Sr. and Linda A.
Westgate, grandmother of the late Daniel C.
Westgate and sister of her late fourteen siblings.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, beginning with visitation at 10:30 a.m. and concluding with Services at 12:00 p.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment with her late husband will follow at Mount St.
Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
