Pawtucket – Alice (Malkasian) Bennett, 89, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018. She was the widow of Clarke H. Bennett. Born in Pawtucket in 1928, she was a daughter of the late Ohannes and Hermena (Nahabedian) Malkasian. Alice was a graduate of Johnson & Wales Business School. She was a retiree of Federal Civil Service and started her career at the U.S. Army Nuke Site, Rehoboth, MA, until the site was phased out. Alice was a member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and served there as a volunteer with ARS Social Services from 1982 to 1995. She was also a Hospice volunteer for many years with the Visiting Nurses, Pawtucket. Alice was a member of the National Association for Retired Federal Employees, NARFE Chapter 13, and served as an officer for 18 years, first as vice-president and later as president.
