Turgeon, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara M. (McGee) Turgeon.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Ludger and Alice (Cournoyer) Turgeon.
Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a Radio Operator on board B-17 bombers.
He was a graduate of St.
Raphael Academy, Pawtucket and went on to Northeastern University, Boston, earning a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Aime worked for Texas Instruments for many years until his retirement.
He was a founding member of the ARC of Northern Bristol County and was heavily involved in the RI Special Olympics and BETA Community Services.
Aime and his late wife loved to travel and visited 48 countries and all 50 states.
He especially enjoyed traveling to Disney World with his son and granddaughters.
Aime leaves a son, Michael P.
Turgeon and his wife, Christine of Providence; two granddaughters, Haley and Jessi Turgeon and a sister, Marguerite Bruno of Attleboro.
He was predeceased by his beloved son, Paul P.
Turgeon and his siblings, Paul, Fernand “Fernie” and Rita Turgeon.
VISITATION will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Theresa Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to RI Special Olympics, 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield, RI 02917 will be appreciated.
