Pawtucket – Agnes (Mello) Picard, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard L. Picard, Sr. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Rita (Costa) Mello. Agnes worked as a machine operator for 16 years at the former Hope Webbing Company Mill, Pawtucket, before retiring in 1969. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by three sons, Robert Picard of Bradenton, Florida, Mark Picard and his life partner, John Tanner, of Johnston and Louis Picard of North Providence, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Gerard L. Picard, Jr. and the sister of the late Jesse Mello, Adolph Mello, Louis Mello and Elizabeth Good. VISITATION will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday followed by Services at 9:30 a.m. in the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
