Pawtucket – Adele M. (Habib) Shwaery, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 15, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Frederick N. Shwaery, Sr., the couple had been married for seventy-two years. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Abdella and Diane (Haddad) Habib. As a teenager, Adele was an Ice Capette and a Montreal champion softball player. She resided in Pawtucket since 1952. She was the manager of the former Frederick Michaels Sports and Play, Taunton, for twenty-one years until retiring in 1990. Adele was previously employed in the deli at the former Star Market, South Attleboro. She was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church and their Ladies Society. Adele was a fighter and the voice of the underdog. She advocated for troubled youth, often acting as a surrogate parent, feeding, clothing and giving much needed advice.
