Pawtucket – Adelaide (Almeida) Dos Santos, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of the late Julio Dos Santos.
Born in Portugal, Adelaide was a daughter of the late Joaquim and Maria (Patrocinio) Almeida.
She came to the United States in 1959 and resided in New York for three months before settling in Pawtucket.
Adelaide had been a braider tender for various textile mills in the Blackstone Valley area until retiring and was a communicant of St.
She leaves six daughters, Lucia Alves and her husband, Jose, of Pawtucket, Isabel Vargas and her husband, Ilidio, of Pawtucket, Rosa Goodman and her husband, David, of Warwick, Grace Borges and her husband, Joseph, of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, Linda Mitchell and her husband, Patrick, of Warwick and Teresa Leveille and her husband, Shawn, of Attleboro; three brothers, Joao Almeida of Cumberland, Artur Almeida of Portugal and Lidio Almeida of Portugal; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Horacio Almeida, Maria Almeida and Antonio Almeida.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
VISITATION will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
