Achille G. Sakells

East Providence – Achille G. Sakells, 97, of Rumford, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Martha (Vasilakos) Sakells. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late George and Vasiliki (Markakis) Sakellaropoulos. Mr. Sakells was a World War II United States Navy veteran. He was an electrician for AT & T in New York before retiring. Mr. Sakells leaves a daughter, Betty Missirlis; a son, George Sakells; two grandsons, John and Jason Missirlis and a great-grandson, Thomas Missirlis. Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation is omitted. Arrangements are with WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
