A. Dorothy Jacobs

Pawtucket – A. Dorothy (Berlinsky) Jacobs, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Napoleon “Leon” Albert Jacobs and the late Albert E. Hamel. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sidney S. Berlinsky and Mary (Winters) Tierney. Dorothy worked at McConnell & Carpenter, Pawtucket, for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed listening to music and reading; spending time at home with her family, and participating in various activities with the senior’s group at Rumford Towers. Besides her husband, Dorothy leaves three daughters, Barbara and Valerie Hamel both of Seekonk and Lisa Hamel of Cumberland; two sons, Donald and Christopher Hamel both of Pawtucket; 2 grandchildren, Julie Gutowski of Wilmington, DE and Evan Littlefield of Pawtucket and many cousins.
